UPSYDE SPORTS PRESENTS: 2022 AWARDS: These are basically just awards to players over the last 2 months, since the beginning of the year. MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: JOEL EMBIID - He's probably the front runner by most metrics for the year as well. Over the last two months, he's put up a ridiculous 33.4 PPG, 11.5 RPG, 4.9 APG, 0.8 SPG, 1.5 BPG, and 1.3 3PG. What's really elevated him is his ability to get to the line, and make them, and his excellent two-way contributions. You could make a strong case for Giannis and Jokic, both of whom are putting up equally impressive numbers, but the tie breaker for me is the 17-7 to Giannis' 12-10 record, and the 8 PPG delta over the Joker. ROOKIE OF THE YEAR: EVAN MOBLEY - Another award that will likely go to this player at year's end, Mobley has excelled even his draft expectations.
