UPSYDE SPORTS PRESENTS: 2nd Trimester Strategies for Teams: We're officially about 1/3rd done with the season. We are at the point where we have a large enough sample size to see the writing on the wall for teams. Some teams early on were plagued with injuries, others had major COVID outbreaks, some just had a slump. A lot can change from now and the end of the season, but coaches and GMs are already looking at their roster and determining the best course of actions. Here is just some of my thoughts, although I would love to be a fly on the wall in these meetings. I will go over each team and just give some thoughts, players to target, and where to go from here. ATLANTA HAWKS: 9-Seed (14-14) - Prediction: Play-In: The Hawks have not been able to capture the lightning in a bottle from the previous season. UPSYDE SPORTS PRESENTS: Three Trades to Quickly Rebuild the Pacers: 1. Myles Turner - Trade to Dallas for Josh Green, Moses Brown, Maxi Kleber, and a future first round pick - Mavs fans will be disheartened to let two young players go, as well as a solid role player in Maxi Kleber, but the Pacers need to get value back. They get a former first round pick, a solid young developing big man, and a great locker room guy and stretch forward. Kleber is solid veteran role player in his prime. For Dallas, they get a legitimate center that drastically improves their defense and opens up a roster spot for when they bring in Goran Dragic. Turner is signed through next year, so this could be a huge upgrade for them. 2. Domantas Sabonis - Trade to Golden State for James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga, and Moses Moody - This still gives Golden State options on draft day.
