THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW
UPSYDE SPORTS PRESENTS:
THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW:
THE STANDINGS ARE GETTING INTERESTING - Right now, the Sacramento Kings are 7-3 in their last 10 games and on a 4-game winning streak. They are only one game back of the second play-in tournament spot behind Golden State. In the East, even with the Oladipo acquisition, the Heat are continuing their losing streak to 6 and have slid to the 8-seed. I'm sure Heat fans were hoping for Kyle Lowry.
CELTICS UNDEFEATED WITH TIME LORD STARTING - Yes, it's only 2 games, a very small sample size, but they've looked great in both games. He's only averaged 8.0 points and 11.5 rebounds per game in those two starts, but he's averaging 2.0 steals and 3.5 blocks per game over the same time. He's only averaging 26.5 minutes over his first two starts, so we have to believe he has yet to reach his ceiling.
DE'AARON FOX IS 2ND IN SCORING SINCE ASB - Looking back to my previous King's shout out, Fox is a large reason why they are doing so well. Their center, Richaun Holmes, is one of the most efficient centers in the league, and they have one of the leading candidates to rookie of the year in Tyrese Haliburton. Since the All-Star Break, Fox is averaging 31.1 PPG, 3.9 RPG, 6.3 APG, and 1.8 SPG. He's shooting almost 55% from the field on almost 21 shots per game.
LUKA LEGEND IS 1ST IN 3PG SINCE ASB - Doncic is averaging a ridiculous 4.5 3PG over the past six games since the All-Star Break. His 3-point percentage has been one of his biggest gains since last year and he is hitting them on a regular basis, while contributing 9.0 APG, 6.8 RPG, and a surprising 1.2 SPG over the same time period. His 29.7 PPG has him in the super elite and we remind everyone he's only 22.
DAME HAS BEEN AUTOMATIC AT THE LINE - Since the ASB, Lillard has made it to the free throw line... a lot. He's averaging a ridiculous 97.6% from the line on 8.2 attempts per game. This has lead him to averages of 29.5 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 7.1 APG, and 3.7 3PG since his All-Star starting snub. Portland has been looking to make that playoff push, so he likely won't be letting off the gas anytime soon.
